Kittybean
Kitrina Bean, or Kittybean, is an anthropomorphic bean-cat hybrid. Raised by their adoptive mothers, they now live in Grocerton with their best friend Devilegg in a house by the sea at the edge of town. They're the brains of the duo, and usually quiet and reserved in contrast to Devilegg's lively personality. At home, they usually take care of the cooking (because Devilegg is not allowed near the stove anymore,) as well as being the unnoficial expert on anything and everything one could usually find books on in the Grocerton local library. They're generally patient, cautious, and level-headed, serving as the voice of reason on many occasions, though their love for learning has definitely gotten them into their fair share of trouble! While Kittybean much prefers the safety and comfort of their home, they're always there for their friend, whether it's putting out fires both literal and metaphorical, coming to his defense when Dee's bitten off more than he can chew, or racing to the rescue when Devilegg finds himself kidnapped by pirates from his grandfather's stories- but that's a story to tell later. ;) Being half-cat, Kittybean has many natural abilities, like balance, enhanced senses, and even limited night vision. Devilegg is their best friend, and Kittybean may have a very tiny crush on him... but Kittybean values their friendship too much to ever show it or speak up about it.
Kittybean is nonbinary, uses they/them pronouns, and is both asexual and homoromantic.
Devilegg
Devil Egg, who usually squishes the names together to go by Devilegg, is an anthropomorphic egg-demon hybrid. He lives in Grocerton with his best friend Kittybean, in a house by the sea that belongs to his missing Grandpa Egg. He's the opposite of Kittybean in every way- loud, impulsive, and extroverted. He's very enthusiastic about everything, including but not limited to: fire, parties, adventuring, food, fire, explosions, danger, stories, and fire. He's the last one out of bed in the morning, but once he's awake then it's time to go, go, go!! He knows and loves everyone in Grocerton, even the grumpy "Old Man Jackaloaf" down the road, and considers everyone his friend. He can usually be found dragging Kittybean out of the house for a day at the park or the beach, but his favorite place is the lighthouse on the cliff, where he likes to watch the water for any sign of boats or ships coming in. As a half-demon, he's naturally fireproof, and his horns and tail are remarkable help in a fight (as well as his teeth and fists and feet.) His tail can also be used as an extra arm if he needs one! Devilegg is very strong and tough, though he's often underestimated because of how short he is. He's not as smart as Kittybean, but that's okay, because nobody's as smart as Kittybean. He loves Kittybean fiercely, and won't hesitate to fight anyone who says anything bad about them. Does he have a crush? Absolutely, but he's never seen Kittybean show any sign of returning the romantic affection. He can wait, though, because whatever happens he loves Kittybean and knows Kittybean loves him too, even if it isn't romantically.
Devilegg is genderqueer, and uses he/him pronouns most of the time, though any and all are awesome, too. He's bisexual and both demiromantic and biromantic.
